Dynamics 365 was launched in 2016, when Microsoft combined Dynamics AX — its ERP application — with its Dynamics CRM application. Microsoft was one of the first to combine the capabilities of ERP and CRM natively.

- Finance and Operation – Finance Leaders, Operation Leaders
- Retail
- Project Service Automation – Operation Leaders, Project Leaders
- Marketing – Adobe Marketing Cloud, Dynamics 365 for Marketing
- Artificial Intelligence AI for Sales, AI for Customer Service, AI for Market Insight
- Mixed Reality – Remote Assist, Layout
- Business Central – ERP for Small to Medium sized businesses
